Catch
23 Recording's oldest resident project, borne out of Paul
Cowling & Jarrod Rone's utter disillusionment with
the traditional forms of generic musical expression with
which they had been involved for over a decade. A jury-rigged
collision of free electric guitar, shortwave radio, analogue
synth, and effects, recorded on-the-fly on primitive 'radio-shack'
equipment. Quality early lo-fi experimentalism gradually
develops into a more nuanced, higher fidelity sound over
the six releases.
